GREEN OAK BOWLING CLUB

The bowling club pavilion is situated at the top end of Green Oak Park, with paths leading into both Lemont Road and Mickley Lane.

The crown green season begins in April and ends in September.

This year we have lost our Saturday team due to insufficient players. Matches played during the week for both ladies and men are, though, doing well.

The green is open to anyone. We welcome new players or people willing to learn. You don't need a partner. Just come on your own. Or bring a friend - you don't have to join the club.

If you need help and advice, there is always someone on the green on Sundays from 2 pm.

Sessions cost £2.30 per person or £10 to join - which allows you to play all season. Bowls can be hired.

We are trying to interest youngsters in the game, so that perhaps next year we can enter a junior team. Anyone between 8 and 15 years, who is interested in learning how to play, can meet by the green on Tuesdays at 6pm until 7.30 pm, where you will be taught to play for free.
