Gillfield WoodI'm looking to form a group similar to Friends of Ecclesall Woods (FOE), but this one will be for Totley's Gillfield Wood (Friends of Gillfield (FOG)). After speaking to John Gilpin who is the Chief Woodland Officer for Sheffield City Council, he informed me that if an official conservation group was formed, it would make it easier to apply for funding. With funding conservation work and agreed improvements to the wood could be made e.g. completion of the footpaths. I already have several local people interested in joining FOG.
