TOTLEY FESTIVAL

TOTLEY FESTIVAL is going to be a fun-filled event on an environmental theme with activities for all ages.

For the environmental theme there will be displays and stalls on solar panels, willow weaving, plastic bag making, water conservation, composting, biofuels, green roofs, woodturning and car-sharing. The Park Rangers, Wildlife Watch, Sheffield Wildlife Trust, Ecclesall Saw Mills, Recycling Revolution, and Friends of the Earth will all also be present. And you can also calculate your own carbon footprint.

There will be a plant stall and seed swap so bring along seeds you would like to swap and get some others in exchange.

In addition, there will be sports races, rounders matches, the Climbing Wall, the Scout Trolley, toddlers corner, painting competition, archery, basketball and bowling coaching, the Music Truck for teenagers to showcase their rock bands, Norfolk Park majorettes, Escafeld brass band, ice cream van, face painting, henna painting, Shetland ponies from Millhouse Animal Sanctuary, lambs and piglets from Whirlow Farm, and Sheffield Fire Service fire tender.

There will also be lots of stalls selling arts and crafts, including handmade cards, paper, jewellery and organic clothing. There will be a Fair Trade products stall and Whirlow Farm will be selling fresh farm produce.

A barbecue, Indian snacks stall and a cake stall as well as tea, coffee, juices and Victorian lemonade will all add to the enjoyment. And Jill Turner of Sheffield Community Radio will be the MC for the day.
