Eggs were a new class in Totley Show this year, and attracted 9 entries. As well as the uniformity of the eggs, and good shell of each egg, the judge has to break an egg, to check that the yolk is bright yellow (indicates a good diet) and the albumen (white) clear. There will hopefully be even more egg entries in 2009.
